 The Infrastructure Security Partnership  Celebrates

Ten Years of Public Private Collaboration for Resilience

Over the last ten years, TISP has grown in partnerships and served as a leader in public and private sector collaboration for regional and infrastructure disaster resilience. One of our many achievements includes moving the homeland security enterprise to an all hazards environment and setting the framework for the national movement to resilience strategies.  Over the next twelve months, we will be highlighting the history and strategies through special events and reports. Please keep an eye out for TISP Email Announcements and Resilience Today. To sign up for the TISP E-Newsletter, please e-mail wanderson@tisp.org.

The 2012 Critical Infrastructure Symposium

April 23-24, 2012
Hilton Arlington Hotel  -  Arlington, Va.

We are extremely pleased with the outcome and success of the symposium; the high level of attendance and enthusiasm from the students, facility members, government officials, and corporations were tremendous. The breakout sessions concentrated on topics of infrastructure resilience policy, structure and design, operation, education and training. Despite the time constraint, each presentation was diverse and very educational to the audience.

We hope that each of you walked away with greater knowledge of critical infrastructure, current issues, lessons learned and obtained valuable information that can be shared with others in the future.

The presentations and papers that were submitted can be found here:

While the federal government is making regional and community resilience a top homelandsecurity priority, federal funding has dramatically dried up for most critical infrastructureprotection and disaster preparedness/mitigation programs.

As the emergency management community1 looks toward 2030, one thing is certain – the world will not look the same as it does today. Shifting demographics and the rate of technological innovation will challenge the way we plan and communicate
